Workshop Description:
Are you looking for ways to incorporate healthy eating topics into your classroom? Join Action Schools! BC’s Registered Dietitians for a fun and interactive workshop! Explore the importance of healthy eating while learning fun classroom activities embedded in the new curriculum. This all-day workshop will cover the importance of healthy eating, the dangers of sugar, as well as concepts around body image and food marketing. Presenter:
Julia Hunter, RD is an Action Schools! BC Food Literacy Mentor. Julia received her Dietetics degree from Acadia University in Nova Scotia before swapping coasts and relocating to beautiful British Columbia. As a Food Literacy Mentor, Julia aids educators and school teams in making healthy living a reality within their school environments and community to support healthy learners. Julia is passionate about empowering and working with others to achieve their goals.
