Building Background Knowledge to Support Comprehension in the Content Areas.
This workshop provides a focus on accessing background knowledge, comprehension skills, supporting vocabulary development & checking for understanding. Come and spend the morning working on reading to learn in your classroom. Participants can enter to win a draw for learning resources! Participants are encouraged to bring materials (textbooks etc.) they are currently using to the session, but not mandatory.
Audience: Teachers, Admin & EAs
Please note that the workshop is geared to intermediate/middle & high school levels. Limit of 20 participants.
