TRIBES LEARNING COMMUNITY BASIC COURSE FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL – SERIES

Session Description

Every school should be a model home, a complete community actively developing future compassionate citizens capable of creating, leading and contributing to the kind of democratic communities – in which we all long to live.”

This 8-module in-depth basic training will be presented over 5 days and is intended for teachers, administrators and all support staff.

While the session will be geared for middle school age students, the Tribes process is used with all grades.

Teachers using this approach spend far less time managing inappropriate behavior and more time facilitating learning.

Date: January 29, 2018- full day 9:00-4:00

January 31:  Wednesday evening session 5:00-8:00

February 2:  Friday full day 9:00-4:00

February 7:  Wednesday evening 5:00-8:00

February 10:  Saturday full day 9:00-4:00

Please note:  Rural teachers unable to travel for the evening sessions will participate via google hangout.

Target Audience: classroom teachers, administrators, LATs, school teams, district staff, educational assistants, all are welcome

Please indicate preference for text:  Elementary, Middle or High School.

Limited to 20 participants
